Terms & Conditions
Effective 2 July 2026 · Version 2026-07-02
These terms govern your use of Hagu (hagubaby.app), a baby-tracking app operated by Daniel Cheng. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The service
Hagu lets parents, guardians and the caretakers they invite log a baby's feeds, diapers, sleep, pumping and weight, and view simple summaries, shared privately in real time. The app is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
Hagu is a general-purpose tracking and information tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or monitoring (see “Not medical advice” below).
Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and the parent or legal guardian of the child you track, or authorised by them. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure and for all activity under your account.
When you invite another caretaker, you allow them to view and add entries for that baby. You are responsible for who you invite; you can remove a caretaker at any time from Settings.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you agree not to:
- use the app for any unlawful purpose or to store data you have no right to store;
- attempt to access data belonging to babies or users you are not authorised to access;
- probe, disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service or its security;
- upload malicious code or use the service to infringe anyone's rights.
Your data
The data you log is yours. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process and display it in order to provide the service to you and the caretakers you invite. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Not medical advice
Hagu, including any guides or summaries it shows, provides general information only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Every baby is different. Always follow the guidance of your pediatrician or a qualified health professional, and never disregard or delay seeking it because of something in the app.
In an emergency, or if you are worried about your baby's health, contact your doctor or local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on the app for urgent decisions.
Availability and “as is”
We work hard to keep your data safe and the app available, and entries you make are saved on your device and synced when you're online. However, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law. Because the app is provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.
Termination and deletion
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Settings; doing so deletes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service.
Changes to the service and these terms
We may update the app and these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes to these terms, we will update this page with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections you have where you live.
